Basics about the Domains; What domain name really is
In Common Sense
A domain name is a virtual place-location where You put your website on.
It's a term that we use for words which we are writing into our internet browser(browsers are programs = software by which we are browsing the internet i.e. browsing the world wide web areas) looking, searching for wanted www pages.
On primer of 'DomaineMaster' page-term, you would be writing www.domainemaster.com into your web browser "empty" fi
eld. It doesn't matter if the "http://" (for Hypertext Transfer Protocol) is written before the domain name or isn't.
You would then have been
transfered to DomaineMaster's virtual site i.e. on website http://www.domainemaster.com which is one of
virtual addresses on www(world wide web).
The whole Internet is actually based on a spider principle, meaning, every website is on this or that
way or somehow netted and interconnected. It's
In Economical sense
We, present and potential entrepreneurs, i presume, adore this part where a domain name is ironically called a cyber-estate, along the fact that really no one could possibly interpret what internet and virtuality really are and how these resides. We surely don't perceive the real influence effects, neither its roles in every day lives.
For a business, the domain name acts as a site for its products and services and the core of its virtual communication address.
In more Technical sense
In a more technical sense a domain name is an Internet address equivalent of its physical address which can be translated by the Domain Name System (DNS) into the numeric addresses (Internet Protocol(IP) numbers e.g. 32.25.2.171) used by the Network(Internet). It is much easier to find and
remember an internet domain name rather than remembering group of four
numbers.
Every domain name contains two or more components separated by periods, called ”dots”. The last part of the address .*** is called TLD for the Top-Level Domain or ccTLD for Country Code Top Level Domain which last part of the address ends with .** (two) letters.
To the left of the dot in the brand name, DomaineMaster is what is called the second-level domain. It is also possible to have sub-domains(typically known as a "domain within a domain")
Subdomains are the individual web addresses built upon a pre-existing domain name (such as username.yourregistrantname.com).
The completely domain name address is actually coming with the prefix http:// included, which is, jointly as http://www.DomaineMaster.com ,called URL(Universal Resource Locator). As mentioned before, writing http:// into a internet browser is unnecessary.
Moreover, there is no difference between small or large letters in domain name vocabulary regarding to the internet browsers.
